Meet the Presidency:
Louis Rydygier
American School of Warsaw Dear Delegates,
It is my profound honor to chair the Economic and Social Council at this year's ZYGMUN conference! Having lived in five different countries has made me aware of many issues that society is facing, whether they are cultural, economic, or political. And yet, these experiences have taught me this more than anything: When united behind a common goal, there is nothing we cannot achieve, which is precisely the point of Model UN conferences. Participating in these conferences not only improves our debate skills and résumés, but also prepares us for a world full of challenges that are becoming increasingly more complex. Beyond my passion for politics, I like football (Hail to the Commanders!) and traveling. I'm thrilled to be your chair and look forward to experiencing eye-opening debates come March. My main goal is to make every delegate feel welcome, appreciated, and confident, so please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or just want to chat! I really can't wait to meet all of you in March! Louis Rydygier Chair of the Economic and Social Council at ZYGMUN VIII |
Liliana Spaziani
Anglo American School of Sofia Dear Delegates,
Welcome to the ZYGMUN conference! This year, as members of the General Assembly Third Committee, you will have the opportunity to tackle critical human rights and social issues that affect the global community. Throughout the conference, you will engage in spirited debates, negotiate with delegates from across the world, and work collaboratively to draft resolutions that address these pressing concerns. I am truly excited to serve as your Chair for this year's ECOSOC Committee at ZYGMUN. I am looking forward to a fantastic and engaging experience with you all. I believe this committee will offer an excellent platform for each of you to develop your skills in diplomacy, public speaking, and conflict resolution, while also contributing to important conversations on human rights and social justice. I am 18 and a senior at the Anglo American School of Sofia, where I have been studying for the past five years. Originally from Frosinone, Italy, I have had the privilege of living in Italy, Egypt, Germany, and Bulgaria which has helped me develop a global perspective on international issues. This international exposure has greatly influenced my passion for human rights and global diplomacy, which I hope to share with you during the conference. In addition to my involvement in MUN, I am involved in the student council, leading our school's legacy NGO club, swimming, reading, and painting. These activities have taught me the value of teamwork, leadership, and perseverance, all of which I look forward to bringing to our committee discussions. I am excited to meet all of you and I am confident that together we will have a productive and memorable conference. Let’s work together to create meaningful solutions for the world’s most urgent issues! Best regards, Liliana Spaziani Chair of the ECOSOC Committee |
