Getting Around in Warsaw
Public transit in Warsaw is inexpensive and (usually) quite reliable. Buses, trams, and two underground subway (Metro) lines are operated by the company WTP. In this website, under the "Timetables" section, you have access to all the routes of buses, trams, etc. and their timetables. The American School of Warsaw lies just outside of Warsaw city limits, but still inside of transportation zone 1. The closest bus stop to the school is Os. Konstancja on bus lines 139, 200, 251, 710, 724, and 742. The school is located in the residential area behind the McDonald's. 200 takes you from the directly from the Central Train Station to our school. 251 and 139 are buses that take you straight from the Wilanowska metro station. 710, 742, and 724 all take you directly from the Kabaty metro station, both of the stations being on the M1 metro line. They are all very convenient routes that can quickly take you to our school. In the video on the right, "David from Mexico" offers a good overview of the various bus tickets visiting delegates may consider. To find your public transport route, we have found that Google Maps route planner works quite well. JakDojade.pl is also a good alternative. |
