American School of Warsaw Hello and welcome to the GA1 committee! I’m excited to be a part of your experience in the upcoming ZYGMUN conference. This is my second year in MUN and my first time as a Student Officer. I’m looking forward to helping guide our discussions as you debate on the topics at hand.
My MUN experience has improved my leadership, diplomacy, and public speaking skills. Though this is my first time chairing, I have experience in committees and am eager to support you in having productive and meaningful debates. To make the most of ZYGMUN, I recommend coming well-prepared and staying open to different perspectives. Engage in the debates, propose solutions, and enjoy the experience of working together to solve global issues. I’m a 17-year-old student at the American School of Warsaw, where I’ve been since fourth grade. I’ve also lived in Ukraine, Slovenia, Croatia, and Denmark, which has given me a broad perspective. Outside of MUN, I enjoy sports, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends, though I also need time alone to recharge. Feel free to reach out if you need anything during the conference. I look forward to working with you all to make this a memorable and rewarding experience! ILG School Prishtina Dear Delegates,
When I was little, I was always told that I am very talkative. What better way to put this skill to use than by joining a club focused on creating unique solutions, expressing my ideas, and interacting with others? MUN has been a part of my life for nearly 3 years and I am forever grateful for having been introduced to it. I have participated in 4 conferences and served as chair in one of them, with my love for it only growing with each conference I attend. MUN has not only allowed me to channel my love for talking but also to grow as a critical thinker, make new friends, and develop my leadership skills, and I hope that it will inspire the same growth in you. ZYGMUN’s Disarmament and International Security (GA1) committee, in relation to the conference's theme, Fostering Innovation and Development for Peace and Justice, will be an opportunity for participants to engage in critical discussions, develop diplomatic skills, and contribute to global solutions for peace and security. I encourage you all to actively participate as much as possible, as your contributions will not only enhance the quality of our committee, but also help you grow as leaders and diplomats. In addition to MUN, I enjoy swimming, baking, and listening to music. I am 15 years old and currently in the 9th grade at ILG School in Prishtina, Kosovo. I have only ever lived in Kosovo, but enjoy traveling and seeing new places, especially through MUN trips! I look forward to seeing you all soon!
