American School of Warsaw Hello and welcome to the Security Council committee! I’m excited to be a part of your experience in the upcoming ZYGMUN conference. This is my third year in MUN and my second time as a Student Officer. I’m looking forward to helping guide our discussions as you debate on the topics at hand. At this conference, our committee will be addressing the crisis in Myanmar. The military’s seizure of power is the root of the problem--igniting national resistance and a humanitarian crisis. As this topic is further debated, delegates will have the opportunity to investigate our conference theme. You will be able to understand how important a balanced socioeconomic equity between countries--especially those in crises--is and why and how that might lead to global prosperity. To make the most of ZYGMUN, I recommend coming well-prepared and staying open to different perspectives. Engage in the debates, propose solutions, and enjoy the experience of working together to solve global issues. My MUN experience has improved my leadership, diplomacy, and public speaking skills. I have experience in different committees and am eager to support you in having productive and meaningful debates. I’m an 18-year-old student at the American School of Warsaw, where I’ve been at this school since fourth grade. I’ve also lived in Ukraine, Slovenia, Croatia, and Denmark, which has given me a broad perspective. Outside of MUN, I enjoy sports, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends, though I also need time alone to recharge. Feel free to reach out if you need anything during the conference. I look forward to working with you all to make this a memorable and rewarding experience! Zana Stern Chair of the Security Council |

Anglo-American School of Sofia Dear participants, Welcome to the Security Council of the ZYGMUN 2026 Conference! I am honoured to be one of your chairs, and I'm excited to work together with you in the near future. This will be the fourth conference I attend, continuing my passion for MUN. Over the years, MUN has helped me establish and develop skills that help me improve academically, but will also aid me later in life. This is why I believe that MUN is a positive and rewarding experience for anyone who participates. In order to achieve this, I recommend that you come to this conference with a positive mindset and one open to cooperation. As for myself, I am 15 years old, from Bulgaria, and currently attend the Anglo-American School of Sofia. My previous experiences in MUN include representing a P5 country for three consecutive conferences, two of which in the Security Council. Some of my interests include music, sports(tennis & volleyball), and travelling. I have also participated in other extracurricular activities such as Speech & Debate, MathCounts, and TEDx. I joined the MUN program at my school three years ago, and I established myself rather quickly because of my passion for the MUN system. It combined my interests of politics, debating, innovation, but most importantly, teamwork and cooperation. I am grateful that my years of MUN so far have had positive cooperation and opportunities for innovation, subsequently bringing out of me skills I never knew existed. Consequently, it will be best for you, me, and all of us if we come to this conference with an open and cooperative mindset. Feel free to reach out if you need anything during the conference. I am so excited to be chairing at this year's ZYGMUN conference, and I wish for this to be an unforgettable experience for all of you! Nikolay Grigorov Chair of the Security Council |
